Today, under the leadership of Pastor Johnson J, we continue to hold on to a clear purpose: to be a place where Malayalam-speaking Christians in this city can worship freely, grow in faith, and find the kind of community that feels like home.
To be a Spirit-filled church where every Malayalam-speaking family in Mumbai can worship in their own language, grow in the Word, and raise the next generation in faith.
We exist to lead people into a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, to disciple believers through the teaching of Scripture, and to serve our church family and our city with love in practical ways.
These convictions shape everything we do as a church family.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the final guide for what we believe and how we live.
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour, and that salvation comes by grace through faith in His death and resurrection.
We believe in the present-day work of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers with gifts to worship, serve and witness boldly.
We practise believer's baptism by immersion and observe Holy Communion together as an act of remembrance and unity.
We believe the local church is a spiritual family, called to worship, disciple and care for one another in practical ways.
We believe every believer is called to serve the church and their community, reflecting Christ's love in word and action.
Senior Pastor
Pastor Johnson J has served IPC Borivali since 2023, and has been in full-time ministry for over twenty years. He holds a Master of Theology and a Master of Arts, and is an ordained pastor with the Indian Pentecostal Church. Before Borivali, he pastored various congregations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
Pastor Johnson and his wife, Manju, have two children. Their heart is to see every family in this church rooted in the Word and equipped to live out their faith in daily life — at home, at work, and in the city.
